In the heart of Stavanger city centerThe venerable Hotel Victoria first opened in July 1900. Here you can enjoy a glass of champagne under the same chandelier as King Haakon VII and Queen Maud did when they set sail in 1906 or enjoy the same view from your hotel room as the King of Siam did in 1907. The hotel has a fantastic location right next to Vågen in the city centre, with everything Stavanger has to offer in terms of culture, restaurants and city life right outside the door. Parts of the hotel are listed and are an important part of Stavanger's architecture and history. This means that the hotel rooms vary in size and design. |

Mountain Walk to the Pulpit RockMonday, April 20th (time to be announced soon) Preikestolen, which was formed more than 10,000 years ago, is the most iconic natural landmark in Norway. From the top of the 604 metres high cliff, you will find the most dramatic views that Fjord Norway has to offer. The hike to Preikestolen is of moderate difficulty. In total, the 8-kilometer hike takes about 4-5 hours (round trip). The trail, which has significant shifts in terrain, includes swampland, forests, and stone stairways built by Nepalese sherpas. Visit the page below and you will find all the information you need to plan your hike, and to have an unforgettable experience. |
